The Olde Muskingum Trail runs parallel to the Tuscarawas River and the Ohio - Erie Canalway, and the Portage Hike & Bike Trail stretches for two and a half miles from the Ohio State University campus to Georgetown Road. Most of the way follows the abandoned Baltimore-Ohio rail corridor through a largely rural landscape, heavily forested in places. At this point, the Ohio Nickel Plate Trail runs 2.5 miles from Georgetown Road to a point north of Lake Erie.

The Garfield Heights elevation is higher than Cleveland, where it borders the Ohio State University campus and the University of Ohio campus, and its highest elevation is near the Garfield-Heights Justice Center. It has its own City Council, which is composed of a majority of councillors, as well as a number of city officials and municipal employees.

Potash will introduce "Supporting Tutoring and Engaging Pupils," a program for high school students in Garfield Heights. OverDrive will host more than 500 librarians and industry leaders for a panel discussion on the impact of technology on education and workforce development. The technology-focused workforce includes students from regional colleges and universities, including Ohio State University, University of Ohio, Cleveland State, Ohio Tech and Ohio University.

The Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor runs for 5 miles through Painesville, Painville Township and Concord Township. The nearly 11-mile MetroParks Bikeway provides a well-designed link between Lake and Lake Park and the Cleveland Metropolitan Parks and Recreation District.

The Hoover Park Connector Trail is located in the heart of North Canton, Ohio and runs through the scenic wooded park. The Steel Mill Trail is a 2.5-mile stretch of the Bridgeway Trail that lies between the steelworks and steelworks in this picturesque woodshed park in Garfield Heights. The Middle Branch Trail follows the middle arm of Nimishillen Creek and connects to the Lake Metroparks Greenway Corridor. This run runs for 5 miles through a picturesque wooded park and the Cleveland Metropolitan Parks and Recreation District.

The Stark Electric Railway Trail runs along the former intercity line that connected Canton and Salem with Louisville Alliance and Sebring from 1902 to 1939. It also serves the surrounding neighborhoods of Cleveland, including Garfield Heights, Highland Park and the Cleveland Metropolitan Parks and Recreation District. The Morgana Run Trail, which stretches for 2.5 miles through a picturesque woodshed park and the Greenway Corridor of Cleveland Metropark.

The Cleveland Metroparks Lake - to - Lake Trail, which connects Lake Park of Cleveland Metropolitan Park and Recreation District with Lake Erie, is equipped with asphalt promenades and paved trails. The 3-mile stretch from Abbeyville Road to Lester Road in York Township and the 4.5-mile Greenway Corridor of Cleveland and Metropark's Greenways Trail.

The North Chagrin Reservation Purpose Trail is a two-mile route that crosses the northeast outskirts of Cleveland parallel to Interstate 480 and north of the Cleveland Metropolitan Park and Recreation District. It offers an alternative, non-motorised route that links the neighbourhoods with green spaces and business districts.
